Biografie

DJ Mekki Martin is the new blood of the Czech dance seen . He has wanted to become a DJ since he was a little 5 years old boy. At the age of 15 he became the house DJ in Brnoś popular night club Tabarin and he has been holding this prestige position until now.
His 12 hour sets are famous and emotionally charged, which allows the audience to participate. Mekki really knows how to inspire the audience. He even regularly integrates in his show with violin and saxophone performers, which makes his show absolutely unique in the Czech dance seen.
Mekki fell for club music very early in his life and became known by “clubbers” all over Czech Republic and even beyond. In 2008 he started another club night Mystery, at which he worked with such names as DJ Fergie from London, Czech techno-queen Lucca.
DJ Mekki Martin doesn’t want only to play the music, but he wants to create it. This is way in April 2009 he started label Uber recordings and before this he produced two tracks “Milet Trap” and ”One Moment” on the label Acapulco, which is being
Distributed worldwide and its tracks are remixed by famous DJs.
Mekki Martin has played with such names as legendary Svan Vath, Spanish Javy Union and Austrians Phillip Straub and Claudio Ricci.
Mekkis work experience doesn’t end in Czech Republic. In May he was sought after by clubbers in well known Slovak club Ministry of fun.
In 2009 Mekki Martin has been driving all over Czech clubs as a warm-up DJ of the internationally known festival Creamfields Central Europe. This tour will finish on a main stage with the combined performances of Mekki next to the stars of STB, Above and Beyond and others.

Sound Of Acapulco is proud to release the debut single from of
Europe's most talked about up and coming dj/producers Mekki Martin.
Lucca has been a big supported of the Czech dance music scene and now
she is bringing through perhaps the brightest talent so far. Having
already played alongside Sven Vath, Fergie and appearing at festivals
Mekki drops his first track Mile Trap.

Mile Trap is a big progressive number reminiscent of Deadmau5 and Adam
K's finest work, the remix comes from one of Beatport's biggest stars
KID DUB. He offers a big main room mix which a huge breakdown
something he is known for.
