Jamie Odell Biography Jamie Odell aka Jimpster and Audiomontage has been producing, remixing and Djing for the last 15 years and co-running his Freerange Records label for the last 10 of those. His musical upbringing and open-minded attitude to all types of music have meant his productions have found fans across the globe in the electronica/downtempo as well as house music scenes. His seminal Jimpster LP Messages From The Hub (1997) as well as his more dancefloor orientated Audiomontage 12"s really helped establish Jamie as an artist of some merit and he quickly became in regular demand as a remixer (over 50 at the last count!) and co producer on a wide range of underground projects. His third Jimpster LP Amour was released 2 years ago on Freerange to great critical acclaim and appeared in various published Top 20 LP's of the year (eg. No.17 in IDJ). He has also recently released his first original track for another label, choosing Ben Watt's Buzzin' Fly for Square Up. This became a big underground house track which sat in the top 5 of DJ Mag's Hype Chart for 2 months. Jamie has also built up his reputation as a highly regarded dj in the UK and around the world. With an emphasis on the deeper end of electronic house music, but never afraid to stray from the path, he retains a freestyle approach that has seen him booked for gigs as diverse as Fabric and Plastic People in London, Cocoon in Frankfurt and 11 in Amsterdam. Other recent gigs have included Shindig in Newcastle, Cielo in NYC, Yellow in Tokyo and Crystal in Istanbul. He also runs the monthly Freerange night as his London residency at AKA. Jamie is also a member of highly acclaimed live outfit The Bays, whose performances on John Peel sessions have confirmed them as one of the most important live acts around today. Their spontaneous and totally improvised gigs have been building up a buzz with recent headlining gigs including many of the worlds best festivals such as Glastonbury, The Big Chill, Womad, Lowlands, Bestival and many others. One Week To Live "The fact that it's so easy to get lost in Jimpster's world is testament to his talent." Record Collector "A superb, shimmering collection of solid-gold electronic musicianship." Blowback Magazine "Really deep & soulful. Its great. Really, really good!" Metro 5/5 DMC Update 'Domestic Science' "Jimpster album is amazing! I'm gonna cane it on my radio one show. Music doesn't get much better than this!" Rob Da Bank, Radio 1 "This record sparkles from start to finish. Immaculately produced, and not short of a good tune or two, this is one rewarding album." Pete Lawrence, The Big Chill Magazine "This album is a classic. Astounding moments of pure, emotive musicality" Tom Middleton (Jedi Knights, Cosmos) "Contender for album of the year in my book. soulful. solid. essential music." Nik Weston "Domestic Science is an instant beauty. Timeless!" ***** Plastiks Magazine "A future classic and make no mistake." Knowledge Mag 'Messages From the Hub' "Deeply musical, hauntingly beautiful, orgasmically orchestrated and furiously funky. A seriously briliant album that you'll want to leave on autoplay." Mixmaster Morris, i-D Magazine "Jamie Odell deserves to be walking with his head in the clouds and a large sandwich board proclaiming himself '100% genius'….six tracks that prove Jimpster-man to be a producer of infinite greatness…do not miss!" 9/10 Muzik "Jimpster has been turning heads after his outstanding production contributions to the Coldcut album. Here his live drum 'n' bass group stands head and shoulders above the crowd…" Richard Hector Jones, Jockey Slut "Occasionally records descend that are in a quality league of their own, this is one of them…Serious music that really moves us." DJ Magazine "This lad's mam must be so proud of him; he's a talented little soul. Every kind of genre of our hallowed dance music he turns to, he hits the nail right on the head." jau...also ich fand's auch nen superfeinen abend. das sass ist eigentlich der einzige club in dem man auch zur prime time sehr deep spielen kann, das ist schön.
die cd klau sache ist echt eine sauerei!! falls derjenige kleptomane das hier liest - gib die cds zurück du A...!!! J. hatte das auch gleich gepostet: (IMG:http://a839.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/10/s_8b7a1b526bf5a5836b232b091466c866.jpg) Jimpster cant believe somone just stole my cd's in Vienna Yesterday.
