sonstiges Brennan Green:
Producer Brennan Green is coming into his own. The St. Catharines native who made a dent in Toronto's mid-'90s dance music underground is beginning to bust down global walls with his infectious, disco-infused singles and remixes full of vibrant instrumentation, atypical beats, and quirky, irresistable melodies. His debut singles were on John Selway's deep techno label CSM, disco cult hero Danny Wang's label Balihu and the London based Bear Funk from Steve Kotey. He has also completed remix work for Paper, Coco Machete, Nuphonic, Peacefrog and Output.
A former rave kid turned on to dance music by Boney M and Ministry alike, Green has long had diverse tastes but never found his niche here. "Where i grew up was a really small group of us playing the weirder stuff that wasn't soulful enough for some, and not banging enough for others," he says from his current home in Brooklyn. "It was just good dance music that had that groovy, 110 to 120 house disco beat. It was really more about a sound and a production technique, a bit of an undefined, grey area at the time."
That was then, this is now. Green's appreciation of left-field disco and quirky, pensive house may not have found favour straight away, but it certainly meshed with the flavours being felt early this decade as New York artists such as Metro Area and Daniel Wang or now people like the Norwegian H.P. Lindstrom and Prins Thomas created fresh takes on disco.
Wang, in fact, became an early acquaintance of Green's, the two meeting through a mutual friend and a love of production gear. They became friends, occasional DJ partners and frequent co-producers, collaborating on remixes for artists such as Block 16, Crazy Penis and Charles Webster. These days, he's turning out remixes for the likes of Lopazz, Liquid Liquid and Alexi Delano for innovative underground labels including Output and Coco Machete. He's also producing and A&Ring for solid Brooklyn upstart Modal Music.

Reade Truth
Reade Truth is best identified as a true veteran DJ of the NY scene whose deep & mental dancefloor visions have provided a good source of fuel for the underground scene. The DJ roots branch forwards from the alternative-industrial scene that began to flourish at the end of the 90's.
Via regular gigs at established clubs like Limelight, The Building and Pyramid; he helped to solidify industrial dance culture and brought many influential acts to the legendary New York City club the Building in the early 90's at the party known as Asylum.
Reade helped promote and popularize the advent of techno culture and music through his DJ appearances. The "Truth" was soon added to the name, derived
from extensive contributions as a journalist appearing regularly throughout the
decade as an outspoken columnist and contributor within the pages of magazines like Rockpool, Net, Under One Sky and Urb.
Since then, his involvement within the industry has encompassed just about every imaginable level of activity. Working as United States label manager for influential labels like NovaMute and Antler-Subway, he promoted such acts like Plastikman / Richie Hawtin and the Tresor label from Berlin. Going back underground in 1996, Reade Truth spent 6 years working alongside Frankie Bones and Adam X at highly acclaimed New York Techno store Sonic Groove as the store manager, sales campaign strategist and as a record producer on the label. Currently, Reade Truth's attention is centered on the deep electro, techno and old school house ideas presented on his own label PATH.
