Biographie:

I'm a techno/hardcore dj from tirol, the western part of austria. I started spinning vinyl in 2003, progressing quickly and constantly developing my skills, i had my first public appearances in a small club in january 2004. Thanks to the filmriss guys, which i consider to be good friends, i soon performed at the biggest techno event in western austria, the Filmriss Volume 9. Playing in front of 500 crazy people for the first time was one of the most intense moments i ever experienced. And now, several years later, i'm still addicted to the feelings that rise when I blast my favourite music through 10.000 watt PA systems, making people scream and dance their asses off....

After more than 10 years of passively listening to electronic music of all sorts, I got into the dj thing with classic techno tracks from respected producers like chris liebing or adam beyer, which, at that time, was a new experience to me. Over the time i became more interested in harder forms of techno, and, like many others, showed serious interest in the emerging hardtechno scene (aka shranz, in europe). However, not forgetting about all the music i was listening to in the years before, i soon realized that this genre most of the time copied itself instead of beeing original, and most of the releases lacked not just originality, but serious production quality. This way I constantly "evolved back" to my old love, hardcore techno. With several new, more techno-like styles of hardcore, I finally found my true style, which can best be described as "Industrial Hardcore". The beautiy about it is, despite beeing brutally hard and aggressive, the diversity found in this kind of music, one thing that most hardtechno producers never manage to accomplish.

Right from the beginning, my style was all about diversity. And this now holds true more than ever before. Sometimes after my performances people tell me that my music was way too hard for their taste, but they have never met anyone before who constantly "kept it interesting", forcing them to "stay and listen". They never met anyone before who tried to play so many different styles together and succeeding in it. Never met anyone before who combined cheesy trance with earshattering hardtechno, melodic drum n bass with industrial-hardcore or maybe just madonna's newest release with some breakbeat techno. Who cares if it's cheesy? Playing what i like is what counts, and not repeating the same schemed tracks for 90 minutes is my highest priority. So don't confuse me with all the other artists who think everything above 135bpm is evil or the minimum to begin with is 160bpm or you're lame.

What's in my record box then? Well, that depends.
If i'm into hard stuff, then most likely raw, industrial tunes from masterminds like OPHIDIAN and all his friends on the META4 label, as well as most of the productions that come out on DJ PROMO's THIRD MOVEMENT imprint - e.g. Peaky Pounder, anyone? The Enzyme label is one of my favs too and on the hardtechno side I love Glenn Wilson and DJ OGI, the Protocast label, Robert Natus' early works, Paul Langley & Dj Bam Bam, Greg NoTill, ...
If I play techno, I'll most probably present you tracks from Jeroen Liebregts, Tom Hades, Dean Rodell, Chris Liebing, Dave Clarke, Brixton, Adam Beyer, Henrik B, Hardcell, Secret Cinema, Alex Bau... focussing on tracks with looped synths or even melodies.

One final thing to say: unlike many other dj's I wasn't suddenly "into techno" because I went on a random party and felt the urge to start deejaying (because it is oh so cool to pose behind the decks). I'm into electronic music since 1991, beeing 10 years old at that time. I have always loved it and I always will. Despite others who just follow fads, play minimal techno because it's "in" or schranz because "the people want it", I will always stay true to the music that *I* love. And no one is ever gonna change that!
