This Monday’s exclusive mix comes from one of the decade’s most talented producers – of house, techno, modern classical and more – Sven Weisemann.

Still in his early twenties but with an immense body of work already behind him, Sven Weisemann is one of the most precociously talented producers of his generation.

His sumptuously arranged music – released on a range labels including Mojuba, A.R.T.less, Styrax Leaves, Apple Pips and Meanwhile – brings together elements of Detroit techno, Chicago house, dubstep and dub-techno.

His latest release, the Xine LP, finds him indulging his interest in ambient and cinematic sounds, but his FACT Mix has definitely been assembled with the dancefloor in mind. An abundantly funky mix of jacking house and skipping techno, it gives you some idea of what to expect when Sven plays alongside the mighty Chez Damier at London’s Lost In The Loft party on November 14. No tracklist as yet, but we’re pon de case.

es ist ganz einfach eine story die der junge sven hier erzählt ohne das der spass dabei zu kurz kommt.

About Sven WEISEMANN

Sven Weisemann is only twenty-five years old, but already he's carved out a
niche which is unmistakably his own. Despite his young age, Weisemann has been
DJing since 1997.His musical influences ranges from Classic, Soundtracks, Soul and Jazz, Deep House and Dub to his beloved Detroit Techno and US House. As a producer, his music draws deeply on the legacy of Chicago and Detroit, yet somehow manages to end up sounding as fresh as a daisy - records such as 'Vibe' and 'Slices' are house music that is half atmosphere and half beats, and not afraid to take its sweet time to lull the floor with their charms.
A self-taught musician who plays piano, acoustic guitar and percussion, Weisemann also composes jazz and soundtracks - traditions which also inform his house records no doubt, many of which you can find on Meanwhile, House Café Music, Apple Pips, Kann, a.r.t.less, Wandering, Liebe*Detail, Real Soon, Styrax Leaves, Essays and especially Mojuba, where Weisemann's music slots together with friends Nick Solé and Oracy to form a distinct, and highly collectible, label sound.
