Mit Origin zeigt Arturia auf der diesjährigen NAMM-Show erstmals eine Kombination aus Hard- und Software-Synthesizer. Das modulare System enthält bis jetzt virtuelle Bausteine des Moog Modular, ARP 2600, CS-80, Minimoog und Prophet VS, die sich beliebig kombinieren lassen. Auf diese Weise kann der Anwender seinen individuellen Synthesizer aus den unterschiedlichen Baugruppen selbst zusammen stellen.

Origin basiert auf zwei TigerSHARC DSPs von Analog Devices, die auch für zukünftige Erweiterungen ausreichend Rechenleistung zur Verfügung stellen. Der Synthesizer lässt sich dabei wahlweise stand-alone auf der Bühne betreiben oder integriert sich mittels Plug-in nahtlos in die bestehende Studio-Umgebung. Im Multi-Mode stehen bis zu vier vollständige Synthesizer zur Verfügung, die sich layern oder einzelnen MIDI-Spuren zuweisen lassen.

Origin kommt mit über 500 spielfertigen Presets, arbeitet 32-stimmig, unterstützt 24 Bit/96 kHz, verfügt über einen 16/32-stufigen Step-Sequenzer, besitzt zwei analoge Ein- und zehn Einzel-Ausgänge plus MIDI-I/O, S/PDIF und USB2.0 und stellt außerdem über eine üppige Effekt-Sektion mit Phaser, Chorus, Delay, Reverbs, Distortion, Equalizer, Kompressor oder Bitcrusher zur Verfügung. Der Synthesizer wird vorraussichtlich im September 2007 erhältlich sein und soll dann 2.299 Euro kosten.

ToneWheel Oscillator: Combined with the ToneWheel oscillator, it is possible to obtain nice vintage organ sounds. Can be also used in conjonction with other Origin modules and effects to create completely new sounds.

• A Leslie Effect: Can be used on tonewheel sounds to get Origin sounding like an hammond organ. Can be also used on a guitare signal input. Can be also used on any other sound to create completely new sounds.
• Keyboard Module improvements: GUI more friendly with a curve to describe the effect. 2 modes available for each Keyboard Follow ouputs.

A CS80 envelope: This enveloppe is the one used on the filter of the CS80. It will be used in CS80 template which is going to be included in 1.2 version.

optisch ja schon mal saugeil! technisch versprichts auch einiges ... sehr interessant, wahrscheinlich aber auch ziemlich teuer..

Das Konzept finde ich aber enorm gut, die ganzen Arturia Emulationen in einem Kastl frei verschaltbar


alternativ gibts die V Collection Software bereits um 529 €, viell. bringt Arturia ja auch mal so eine Softwarelösung raus wo sich die ganzen synths ineinander verschalten lassen
