Herzliches Dankeschön an Ludwig II.
1) Your biography tells us that you’re from Tel Aviv - please give us some words about your childhood - how and where did you grow up? I actually was not raised in Tel Aviv, but at a village on the country side of the city, where my studio is at the moment. So only in my teens I really started to get the feel of the city, but was always surrounded by nature which I think is a good influence. 2) What are/where your early musical inspirations? Any special genre or artist? How did you come to electronic music? Chicago House, Derrick Carter and Derrick May were my starting points when I was forming my electronic music taste early on. I always like to give any track some sort of house dirty feel, and I think it is coming from there. 3) Israeli electronic music has kinda gotten “in fashion” also in Europe’s scene over the last years - guys like Guy Gerber, Gel Abril, Shlomi Aber or you released several records on majors and toured a lot - how big and innovative is Israeli techno today? Where are the perspectives? It is true that we had a wave and I am sure we all influenced each other in some way or another and collaborated, but we are also very different individuals with different back grounds and sounds. So I think we all hit some of the same right cords in the electronic world at the same time which is great, but I don’t think it’s a fashionable thing. 4) What can we expect of Chaim in future times? Any special projects, ideas, targets? My upcoming EP on BPitch Control is titled “Jack is Back” and will come out early December. There are three new tracks on it that I work very hard on, and love the way it came out. I am still collecting more material for the album, which will come out sometime next year. 5) You seem to have a kinda big heart for animals, as 4 of your 13 pics currently on Myspace show your cat and dog - what’s behind that? Do they influence your music in any way? ;-D Hehe, nice that you noticed that, as we spoke about before, it has to do with where I am grow up and live. I love riding horses, and even when I did live in Tel Aviv the animals you saw on those pictures were with me. siehe auch: SKIR Der Beitrag wurde von Neo bearbeitet: 6 Oct 2008, 20:13 |
