Soliquid – Biography

Soliquid (David Biczók) in contempt of his young age (22-year-old) has reached huge success all over the world. He is one of the internationally most recognized producers / remixers / dsj of Hungary. During his career he went musically through more styles from trance, to progressive house, or minimal, tech. He has been dealing with producing electronic music more seriously since he was 8. Earlier he had been learning to play the piano.

His first official release was in 2003, which was a remix of the Anthem of The Budapest Parade 2003 (Naksi vs. Brunner – Just One Day). The remix was immediately released at the german Shah-Music. It was put on many renowned compilations (Like Dj Dean – Tunnel Goes Ibiza for example or the Mayday Album) Later he was performed with two own tracks on the compilation album of the Budapest Parade 2004 and 2005. Later he produced a winner remix for Sterbinszky's Club Rotation remix contest. In the end of 2003 he signed to the label, Innovative UK under the artist name Soliquid, where an own EP was released that time (Meerkat Fields/Rock It!) It became a big success in his career as all of the big djs were spinning it. Was supported by djs like: Tiesto, Ferry Corsten, Lange, Judge Jules, Above & Beyond and many more…..

After listening the vinyl the english trance legend, Lange, asked him to make a remix for his own label. This remix of a George Hales track also reached a huge success , what's more, it was played in Armin van Buuren's radio show, ASOT.

In 2004 he signed to the finnish trance label of the ALT+F4 guys, called Electric sauna, where his first vinyl was released under his new alias, Bëlmondo.

At summer of 2005 he launched a new project under the name S.Q.D. This alias based on a more progressive and deeper sound. The first two S.Q.D. tracks were released at the biggest and the mostly renowned label in trance, Anjunabeats.

In the begining of 2006, regretting no time, he launched a fourth project under the name Frozen Pleasure. The first 3 Frozen Pleasure tracks were immediately released at the german label, Drizzly.

In 2007 started to focus on producing only top quality tracks to be able to get onto the biggest and the most famous labels. These efforts had its result. He made several EP's for Renaissance, Baroque, Blackhole, Proton Music, Manual Music, Captured. His track 'Music is for rich peopl' reached a huge succes all over the world int he end of the year. It was also used on Tiesto's Elements of Life DVD.

2008 is the year when the previously produced tracks started to be released. 2 of his very new tracks was used on John Digweed's Transition 4 cd, and Hybrid asked another track of his for their compilaton on Nick Warren's Hope recordings. This time he is spending the most of his time in his studio, producing new tracks and remixes also for such famous labels.

Next to producing he is running three radio shows worldwide. One ont he hungarian Trancetream, antoher one on Sensegenerate and a third one on ETN.fm radio.

As a Dj he started to recieve gigs in 2005-2006 and played four times on the hungarian trance Sensation, and was invited to Poland, Germany, Finnland, Denmark, England, Turkey

During his sets he is much more into slower melodic minimalish and electroish music. He preferts to mix feelings in his sets, instead of only tracks that suit each other.

rusty tears hat mich ziemlich geflasht - leider is in seinen songs jedes mal dieses typische knacksende random-minimal-geräusch drin, was mich halbert wahnsinnig macht - deswegen kommen soliquid tracks leider bei mir eher selten zur anwendung, auch wenn mir der rest echt taugt...

bald ist das album da, und nicht auf irgendeinem label, sondern meiner meinung nach dem stärksten in in der prog house scene seit langem!
