Eddy F Eddie F, today a Top Slovenian house DJ & producer got in love with music at his early age. Six years old he entered musical school and finished it with distinction at age of thirteen. The usual attempts to form some permutation of a garage band with his friends & schoolmates soon follow, but somehow it all never escalates beyond the garage walls. Few years later Eddie experienced the first wave of new world phenomena – electronic house music. Almost instantly, his fate is signed – that genre shall become his means of musical expression.. His first serious DJing experience happened, when he "graduated" from a minor club on the Slovenian coast to one what was then considered to be one of the top national venues. Nova Gorica's "Odeon" club, where he and a small number of other DJs performing (and partying) side by side quite literally paved the way in this part of the globe for the house & electro scene. Later he got employed on national radio as sound technician. By capitalizing on his work experience within the media and on his formal musical education, Eddie starts to kicks off his very own music production. Things run smoothly, and pretty soon his masters are being licensed to or released by labels such as “Cool running”,” Loud bit”, ”Sounds good”, ”Matrix music”… A plethora of unmistakeable indicators that he was definitely on the right (sound)track!!! In 2004 Eddie founded his own label : F-recordings. All five releases made it to quite extraordinary success, appearing on major compilations all over the world, and winning the support of internationally recognized club icons such as Deep Dish, Hernan Cattaneo, Anthony Papa, Max Graham, Desyn Masiello, Wally Lopez, The Scumfrog, Pako & Frederik, Demi, Donald Glaude,Can Costa and many more. Reviews, interviews aand articles appeared in specialized electronic music magazines such as DJ mag, iDJ, M8, Discoid, X-pander, 365mag… Eddie actually holds residencies in Slovenias finest Club Ambasada Gavioli (www.ambasada-gavioli.com), and best clubnight in the country VINYL (www.vinyl-promotion.com) playing alongside artists like: Deep Dish, Sasha, Danny Howells, Steve Lawler, John Digweed, Desyn Masiello,Steve Porter, Paolo Mojo, Matthew Dekay,Infusion, The Scumfrog, Martin Solveig, Lottie, Darren Emerson just to name a few... Eddie F is definetly one to watch out!!! Aleksij DJ Aleksij is the DJ in Slovenia! And soon all the other countries will be aware of him!Wherever he plays he injects his inovative touch and personal music selection that doesnt amaze only the crowds, but djs as well from all over the board! As almost every dj on the planet Aleksij started in the same way! Both the first records and a pair of turntables! After the first apearances in the first open air raves near his home town Nova Gorica,he was noticed by Valentino Kanzyani just simply suplying a mix tape!Valentino was the resident dj of the famous Ambasada Gavioli in Izola, Slovenia.Aleksij got his first gig there and impressed the crowd and owners so much that he got the reidency soon after! The forst residency finished in march 1999 because of disagreaments between him and the management! In october of 1998 he set up his own organisation House Spectrum which contribute so much in the development of house scene in Slovenia. The organisation started with the intention to bring innovative house djs and producers to the slovene audience! Many djs were brought in for the first time! The Beginerz,Paulette,James Talk,Mark Knight,Nic Fanciulli,Wally Lopez,Terry Francis were all plaesed by the excelent audience at the House Spectrum Parties! After being constantly on the road all over Slovenia,Croatia,Bosnia,Austria and Italy Aleksij was offered to mix the first ever mixed house cd in Slovenia! It was a succes and soon we can axpect a new cd to be published! On the House Spectrum vol.1 was also DJ Aleksij's first ever produced track "Get Some"!As a support to the cd was made a video for the track! The track stayed on top of the national video chart for 10 weeks! In 2005 DJ Aleksij teamed up with Angel Anx and a stream of original productions followed! The first track doem by the duo "Fatal Song" was noticed by the award winning records label Cr2!The track was included in the United nations of House double cd and sampler which gathered the best new talent in the new stream of house producers such as eric prydz, low End Specialists,LeeCabrere and many others! The track was later selcted to be part of the Pacha Winter sessions vol.4 mixed by Hector Romero and Juan Diaz! The first ep is due to be released in July 2006 on the respectable UK inprint Wax Habit! Its a two track ep with 2 tracks to die for "Don't Loose Yourself" and "E Abduction" and includes a remix by Def-E of the Beginerz fame! The tracks gained early support from Kamisshake,Nic Fanciulli, james Talk,Paolo Martini,John Aquaviva,Mark Knight and the list can go on and on!One of the New tracks "Blow" will be included in the outstanding EP series "Leaders of the new school"on the Mark Knights amazing label Toolroom! This is just the begining!Soon to be released remixes for Def-E,Mark Knight,Dj Exacta,Mr Mike and Chus & Penn on labels such as toolroom,Stereo,Compulsive and map Dance will only consolidate DJ Aleksij apart from being an outstanding dj,also a very promising producer that will deliver cutting edge productions to djs across the board! In the year 2005 DJ Aleksij is back at the Ambasada Gavioli! The Club was brought back to life by Ultimed Music and Aleksij is really happy to be part of the mission again!Excelent parties we drown lately and the club is alive more than ever! DJ Aleksij performed at the most important events in Slovenia and abroad!Parties like MTV Valkana Beach,Meet Me,Syndustry,Rabac Summer Festival as well clubs like Alter Ego(Verona),Smoove Vida(Vicenza),El Festival(Desenzano),Metropolis(Split),Exodos(Pordenone),Paradise(Pordenone), Mr.Charlie(Lignano).Prinzip(Munich), Boogaloo(Zagreb),Senator(Sarajevo),Lazareti(Dubrovnik),Coloseum(Rijeka),Fort Burgignon(Pula) and many many others! He shared the dj booth with the likes of Mark Knight,Felix da Housecat,Mousse T,Alex Neri,Ralf,Eric Prydz,Richard Dinsdale,Chris Lake,Nic Fanciulli,Shapeshifters,Beginerz,Frenkie Knuckles,LeeCabrera,Sasha,Seamus Haji,John Digweed,Layo&Bushwacka!,Silicone Soul and never failed to impress the crowd! Paolo Barbato 1978. Turning point for the entire dance music , year of the definitive passage from funky to disco in itself, year which Paolo Barbato starts his long and unstoppable carrier as a sound technician in a local radio station. Earth, Wind and Fire, James Brown and Kool and The Gang are his first musical passions, a permanent imprinting that's re-echoing up in the warm vibrations that his dj-sets are emanating. During the years he fine-tunes his technique and conquests the most ambled results which an artist can aspire, from the winning of 1984's “Dj Competition” to the first contracts with the zone's most important clubs. In 1990 he opens “ Dance All Day ”, reference record shop that represent an icon for the djs of Austria, Slovenia and Croatia too, expanding so his popularity, the residency at the superclub Ambasada Gavioli in Izola (SLO) is in fact right behind the corner. There he passes on parade with the world's most acclaimed deejays. From this moment, Paolo Barbato 's carrier doesn't know limits: famous for his adaptability in immediately recognising what a dancefloor requests him, he starts touring Europe playing in clubs as Zurich's Scarlet, Munchen's Matilda, and famous Pacha, he collaborates with Radio Italia Network and moves his first steps in house-oriented productions, keeping here too the same elasticity that characterises his sets, passing from the tribal “Cheese Cake”, published under the name Elle.Pi and inserted in the “Tribal Works” compilation issued by the French-based label George V (strictly connected with the more famous Buddha Bar), to the “Deep Brothers” project with Nick Tonut, issued world-wide by Soundsgood, the Warner's dance department. His tracks are hosted into famous compilations as “Ministry of Sound – We love Switzerland ”, “Global Underground” and “Il Muretto 2001” . His “Stereophonic” recording studio is at now the operative base from where Paolo Barbato tunes his sets, mixes his compilations (one of these is an exclusive cd issued in a 1000 copies limited edition for the famous brand Illy Caffè), remixes other's tracks (Ibiza star Marcelo's “Trabajame” is just one) and mostly puts out even more precious productions. The recording studio gives the name to his website www.stereophonic.it , where is possible to being updated on his movements and incoming productions. |
