oh my god...

seems like the organisors don,t like been criticised

again for Meph&Snitch who don,t seem to understand what I mean

firstly. there is nothing wrong with the D&B line up, I know my way around D&B

and its nicely represented both with international and national acts

secondly. its not a festival in my opinion,its a rave

thirdly . the 4/4 floor is not very innovative (thats my point)

its filled with acts that do not grab me by the balls and by acts

such as T.raumschmiere,alter ego etal that are for me

yesterdays news

fourthly. the lack of Austrian bzw Ostliche DJs and Live acts on the main floor
says to me that there is lack of innovation,dare I say effort on the part of the organiser....No risk taken,miminum effort ,maximum profit
Its not ok in my opinion to fill the main floor with international acts and give the nationals the 3rd floor again
it didnt work last year,and I can,t see it working this year....and as the Austrian electronic scene is well represented with a lot of good DJs/Producers in various styles of Electronix and also as the Eastern European acts are not even represented although there are also a good many fine DJs/Producers
then I feel I have to protest and say as diplomatically and as objectively as possible

I don,t see why I have to be teased and why I have to argue my stand point in such an art with people who cannot stand being critisised

I don,t want to be personal,nor do I wish to start flaming people....I just would like it to be known in an open forum that I am not happy with the line-up

and I think ,so long as I do not insult people personally,that that is allowed

der grund warum ich dann im endeffekt doch nicht gebucht wurde, ist, dass christian und ich letztes jahr ein paar auseinandersetzungen hatten, die bis heute nicht geklärt wurden.....da ist es weder um das was ich auflege gegangen, noch, dass mich der booker des 3.floors, dem das zugeteilt wurde, eingeladen hat, weil er mich schätzt.
sondern darum, dass christian anscheinend immer noch beleidigt ist, das könnte ich aber auch sein und sagen, für den spiel ich sicher nicht, denn wir waren beide glaub ich gleichermassen beteiligt....

...schau - warum es offensichtlich ist dass du jetzt nur in die presche springst - du hast offensichtlich nicht den hauch einer ahnung ob das überhaupt schon das line up für die mainstage mit nationalen acts war oder nicht und hängst dich aber total auf dem auf.

es ist hier sicher niemand beleidigt - noch hab ich problem mit kritik. muss nur leider sagen wenn du meinst ich riskier nichts - riskier doch auch mal nichts! nur selber machen bringt frohsinn!

why can,t national guys/girls be allowed prime time or after prime time

why does so much money have to thrown to international acts when the nationals "gut bis sehr gut mithalten kann"

its been said in many other threads that the nationals understand the people much better...that they are more "bereit" to take risks when performing

so my point is why not a festival that is full of national acts with one/two international headliners....after all this isnt germany oder???

and I don,t think that the "besucher" will stay away because there are not enough big names on the bloody flyer

dont you think that its worth the risk to put up a festival full of national/ost-block(sorry4that) names with a couple of fat Internationals

and then use the third floor as a massive afterhour/lets get it on sort of thing???

nochmal: bitte mach ein nationales festival - ich spiel gern ein breaks set. aber red nicht über risiko wenn du noch nie auch nur einen schilling bei einer VA riskiert hast...

sorry...Im a DJ and have no wish to become an organiser

but,as I have been DJing for 16 years, I read music mags,inform myself by listening to international acts,surf the net and listen to a lot of mix CDs for my radio show I think I have an good overview about acts and what they can and cannot do

Dats it,I played and visited a lot of festivals and parties and believe i know what I,m talking about.... some of the time (IMG:http://www.technoboard.at/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Organising such things takes a lot of energy and you have to take a lot of critic and spend a lot of sleepless nights wondering if it will pay off but thats your decision,your risk and maybe your fun....

May you have luck with what you do,but at the same time may you be more considerate towards national/ost DJs/producers in the future cos I am sure that
that would pay off in the long run and a lot more people would say Yeah,endlich

Obwohl ich Semmel zwar zustimme was das Lineup betrifft, sprich fad und wenig innovativ hat meph 13 auch Recht. Ein nationales Lineup würde keine Sau interessieren. In Österreich gibt es nur eine Hand voll interessanter Acts, die anderen sind eine breite Masse an EPKEB und anderen Konserven DJ's die bereits mehr als ausgelutscht sind. Das Partypublikum ist halt total headliner geil und hat kein Verständniss für musikalische Ansprüche, einfach immer dem Hype hinterher und da ist dieses Lineup genau das, was sich der durchschnittliche schicky micky frickel frackel epkeb Adbei wünscht und wo er gerne hinpilgert, auch wenn es ausschließlich total kommerzielle electropop einheitsbrei musik ist...

but...I think its time for a change....

if dat means going back to the roots,less people,less profit etc etc

then by all means do it...I would support it completely and it would be a good chance to develope something fresh again

these international acts (I don,t mean at the UAF cos I don,t know,I can guess)

demand an astronomical amount of $$$$$$$$$$ for ???

its not that what I believe in nor the reason why I love and play electronic music

ok,its a job too and you have to earn some money out of it to go forward

but $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ for a bit of boom boom boom and fiddling around on a notebook,pitch control,kaos pad,final scratch etc etc etc is a bit extreme IMHO

and no I don,t wish to be an organiser,I would just wish that the organisers be a bit more...yes you got it.... Innovative
