sonstiges	Gewinnspiel: 3 x 2 Karten SYNCMODE basically are DJ Alive (Bernd Rausch) and Bitkid (Sascha Guscheh). After their first meeting 1997 it took `em about a week to let their professional and personal friendship begin and subsequently merge their two homestudios into a bigger, state of the art working sphere. Spending the following eight month behind the knobs and faders of their equipment, several very experimental and whacked out tunes were assembled and completed. Not having a whole lot of equipment back in the days the sound turned out pretty minimal but distinct. In summer 1999 Bernd moved to vienna to work on a studio here and the two artists focused mainly on their individual stuff, though there was still a lot of musical interaction between the two of them. In these days two tracks from the forthcoming EP were thrown into existence. About a year later, sharing a flat in vienna together, SYNCMODE was united again! Working in the same company Bernd and Sasha started to not only share their recreational time, but also their `during the day` quest. During this very productive phase the first `official` SYNCMODE party took place in summer 2000. A great job offering in the netherlands lead SYNCMODE to grab their equip and move to s'Hertogenbosch in November 2000. Besides enjoying the dutch recreational advantages, not including the food and the weather, and working a lot, this period started to prove as the most productive one since the getgo. The music grew way more professional and slightly more popular. Back in Vienna around summer 2001 a couple of widely acknowledged parties labelled KONTAKT were thrown at the FUNKZENTRALE in the outskirts of vienna and SYNCMODE continued producing in a new studio in the 5th Vienniese district. After 6 month`s in the brand new studio, a couple of tracks were ready to get released and the new EP will fire four of them your way! It's pretty hard to describe the SYNCMODE style. Minimal house, electro & Drum'n'Bass ... mainly whatever comes into their minds. The live-stuff is very loop-based and sometimes pretty weird, where as the software-sequenced stuff is kind of moderately. Equipement: Roland 808, Akai MPC 2000, Mackie 1604VLZ, Waldorf Q, MAM VF11 Vocoder, some KORGs (MS10,20,50,SQ10), some multieffects, an Athlon 1,4 GHz with a Creamware Pulsar soundcard and a Titanium Powerbook 400 Mhz.
