Info Tvyks: DJ Tvyks belongs to the most original Czech DJs. Thanks to his unique style, he’s always able to hit the proper atmosphere and entertain the crowd. He lays all kinds of house music (deep, disco, electro, funky, groovy, latino & tech house) which gives his sets a great portion of energy. During the 11 years behind decks he’s performed in some of the most prestigious Europe’s clubs such as The Social (London, UK), D! Club (Lausanne, CH) or L'An-Fer (Dijon, F). His colaboration with swedish producer Hakan Lidbo resulted in a 12 inch released by the world’s famous Paperecordings under name Norr/Východ. If you’re seeking for a special party experience, Tvyks is your man. Has been intersted in music since his childhood. Already when attending grammar school, as if he felt, that any other job would’t make sense to him. On turn of 80’s and 90‘s he used to tune for radio Luxembourg and local E+M with Saturday’s dance shows. In summer 1992 Tvyks dropped in brand new club Ubiquity, to one of house parties and immediately knew, this was the music he would like to play. He started to purchase records, in the beginning of 1993 he first started mixing and had a first gig in the spring. Through playing in smaller places and events in Prague he got to the two most popular Czech clubs – Radost FX and Roxy. In the second half of 90‘s he starts to travel around the country. In 1996 – 1997 he takes part in two TV shows Puls and Paskvil. At this working load he realises, that he’s mainly attracted to decks, where he returns. Later he prepares compilation House Party 6, which becomes one of the best selling in the series. In 1998 he partly addresses himself to web design, than his first abroad appearances come – in Germany – in Berlin and Rostock. Later in 1999 he comes to newly formed Eastbase booking, alongside most top local DJs. It is also time of first production – he colaborates with a band called Nana Zorin on their first single 17:14 EP. In autumn 1999 he starts a radio show about French scene called French Connection on Prague’s Radio 1 and a few other stations. He becomes a resident in new club Paradogs, with night Zona Disco. Later he also starts French Connection parties. In January 2000 he plays in Dijons club L'An-Fer - France, and starts French Connection web site. Later this year he started to cooperate with singer Dara Rollins, they formed one of the most succesfull club nights called Suiit. In summer he mixed Tripmags Dance Online Plus compilation. In winter 2001 Tvyks plays in Lausannes D! Club and in La Cantina in Chamonix alongside French Pat Heart. In spring he meets talented musician Boris Carloff, and together they produce a couple of tracks, Kedluben Funk appeared on DJ Touch compilation and Feeling Free was produced for Dara’s new album. In autumn Tvyks plays in Norway, but before that, he drops in Hakan Lidbo’s studio in Stockholm, and together they produce single called Norr/Východ, which is later released on Paperecordings. In autumn 2002 he takes care of east european look of Paperecording’s cult club nigt called Robodisco. Within the few months, Prague’s Robodisco saw Hakan Lidbo, Ben Davis, Elliot Eastwick, Kenny Hawkes and Pat Heart. Tvyks starts to appear alongside Pat Heart more and more, and they start to work on their joint studio project called AfroGinger. First work is released on Scottish dis-Tracktion records. In past years Tvyks appeared on stage with DJs and bands like Hakan Lidbo, Ben Davis, Kenny Hawkes, Murray Richardson, DJ Gregory, Lottie, Bob Sinclar, Jori Hulkkonen, Sven Van Hees, Chris Duckenfield, Stanton Warriors, Lee Coombs, Terry Francis, Diesel, Elliot Eastwick, Miles Hollway, Erik Rug, Pat Heart, Martin Venetjoki, Supa DJ Dmitri, Nils Hess, Haris, Richard Sen, Deep, Zion Train, Mr. C & Shamen, Nick Warren, Darren Price, Clive Henry, 100% Isis, Daz Saund, J.P. and many more.
