sonstiges	DJ MITSU THE BEATS is a beats producer and side MC for his own group called GAGLE. GAGLE is comprised of DJ Mitsu the Beats, his younger brother HUNGER ( MC ) and DJ Mu-R ( DJ ). They represent Sendai city located in northern Japan. Their amazing debut EP “bust the facts” (next level recordings) shocked the Japanese hip hop scene in 2000. They became one of the brightest, new, hopeful artists. In August 2002 they released their 1st album, “3 men on wax” (next level recordings). They got more props from hip hop headz within and outside of Japan. Worldwide DJs like Patrick Forge, Phil Asher, Giles Peterson, Alex Attias, Kyoto Jazz Massive, played GAGLE’s promo instrumental album. It was then that Mitsu's beats became well known to many headz in the Euro scene. He's influenced by Jazz, Soul House, Nu-Jazz, Breakbeats, Techno,Funk, Fusion, Latin, Afro, Brazil but maintains his musical basis in hip hop. That makes his beats very original & unique & not belonging to any one kind of music. His first solo album [NEW AWAKENING] (2003) featured Dwele, Lady Alma, Rich Medina, Mark de Clive-Lowe, Little Brother, Loop Troop and soon. His album was released from the label "PLANETGROOVE," and Top Djs around the world like Gilles Peterson, Patrick Forge, Phil Asher, Nik Weston, Benji-B, Francois K, Ron Trent, Stephane Ponpougnac, Laurant G, UFO, Kyoto Jazz Massive, Yukihiro Fukutomi played his tracks. "URB" Magazine (L.A) introduced DJ Mitsu the Beats (the only Japanese) in "NEXT100" 2004. He had first US tour from Oct 2004, 7 cities in USA (SF, LA, NY, Philly, Detroit, etc...). The tour was most successful. His popularity and eminence were proven again.
