Prime insolvent, End of Techno ????? Einstellungen

One of the most important distributors was insolvently closed down last week. This could mean the end to some of the most important labels.

PRIME was the worldwide exclusive distributor for the biggest technolabels which have been on the market for many years, most of them from the beginning. Not only in-house labels like PRIMATE or PRIMEVIL are names which are at risk right now, also many labels like CL, CLR, MANKIND, MISSILE, BUSH, CONFORM, ROTATION, AMC, DRUMCODE, PLANET RHYTHM, PHONT, THEORY, STIGMATA, ZYNC and many more are hit by the disaster. Some of the labels will hopefully find a new home on other distributions, but most of them might suffer from this desease and never bring out anyhting again.

PRIME was not able to pay their artists, nor the labels over the last few months. Rumors say that they tried to expand with a software company and another rock distributor, but this lead to a financial disaster.

Many releases which should have been out the next weeks will be delayed or - if no other distributor will be found - stay forever in the old storages of PRIME.

CPL Distribution (Chris liebing), a new company from germany which has been founded earlier is trying to get in touch with some of the labels. Also ELP Medien (Marco Carola, Gaetano Parisio) which is home for the most labels from Italy is going to expand and working on a office in UK. News from Belium (Zzino, now also Marco Bailey) is alive and healthy and will also try to come up with some new labels the next months.


This is definitely a big slap for the whole techno and house industry, because a lot of many did get lost and we will see who is able to regenerate from this disaster in the next months.

Um nur klarzustellen: auch ich gehe hin und wieder mal zu Events wo ein "bekannter", "grosser" DJ legt.
Aber das ist absolut nicht die Regel, und ich halte mich an das wo ich am meisten SPASS habe und mir die MUSIK zusagt!!! Und wenn das mit einem DeJot zusammenfällt der bekannt ist, mei. Aber das macht den kleinen und/aber FEINEN Unterschied aus!

Wenn ich durch halb Europa gurcke, dann nur um dort etwas zu finden was hier eher nicht der Fall ist.
Mir geht es dann nicht um einen bestimmten DJ der dann gerade dort und dort auflegt und zu dem ich 'unbedingt' hin muss.
