Totally Wired, a documentary film about Andreas Schneider's boutique Berlin synth shop Schneider's Buero, is now available on DVD. ZITAT (IMG:http://www.realeyz.tv/MAM/data/141/Bild/c_00000/2002/format700.jpg) Schneiders Büro is at the epicenter of a very specific sound scene that is both analog and electronic. Located at Berlin's Alexanderplatz (until the store moved to Kreuzberg in summer 2009) it is also one of the few authentic spots to survive the spread of consumer wasteland culture. TOTALLY WIRED presents interviews of Schneider's customers and stalwart fans. We meet the sound designers and creators of the wonder machines that other musicians and sound hobbyists shop for at Schneiders. This film portrait also draws ever-widening circles beyond Alexanderplatz to touch ground in Munich, Manchester and Gothenburg. You can preview a section from the DVD below. It features Dieter Doepfer discussing his A100 modular synthesizer and the future of modular synths. The film features an informed selection of inventors and artists alike, including
